On Sunday March 16, 2008,
Inside Edge will hold its annual ISI Team Competition. This is a club wide event that will play host to over 200 skaters from the club and surrounding area. This event is the biggest fund raiser that the club does. Last year the competition raised over $10,000 that went directly to pay a portion of the clubs ice time costs. Because this event is so successful, the club is able to keep its ice time costs reasonable and also do many things for its members.
ALL FULL MEMBERS are required to volunteer a minimum of 6 hours
of their time to the competition committee and sell a minimum of $125 worth of ads (per family) for our book, or a fee will be assessed to your membership.
ALL ASSOCIATE MEMBERS participating in the Competition
must volunteer for a shift at the competition and sell $45 worth of ads.Any person participating in the Competition, must bring food for the Hospitality room. If you have any questions regarding the competition, you want to help out, or you have some great ideas,
please call Deana.
ISI Testing can be done at any time by your coach. For every test taken there is a $5.00 charge that needs to be paid to Inside Edge Skating Club before any tests are submitted to the test chairperson. The test chairperson will then submit the tests to ISI's national office. When the badges are received, the test chairperson will distribute them to the individual skaters. Under NO circumstances are coaches and parents to submit tests to the ISI National Office for any reason. Failure to comply with this rule will result in forfeiture of your membership or teaching privileges. Please see Janet Crisso for proper procedures and forms. Montclair Inside Edge will be hosting USFS Tests during the skating season. Dates will be provided when judges and ice time can be secured. Volunteers are needed since we provide hospitality for the judges. Please see Janet for more details.
